​Traditional Upholstery
Traditional upholstery is a craft which evolved over centuries for padding and covering chairs, seats and sofas. It can involve the use of springs, lashings, stuffings of animal hair, grasses and coir, wools, hessians, scrims, bridle ties, stuffing ties, blind stitching and wadding all built up by hand.
Ercol Furniture Restoration
Restoring Ercol furniture and Re-polishing Ercol furniture is something we take pride in and results can be amazing. Something that can look completely neglected is transformed into a wonderful piece of furniture and back to an as new' condition in most cases, obviously dependant on the original condition.
Our preferred solution, a “high solid” blend of oil and wax is relatively easy to apply, long lasting, gives excellent protection from most day-to-day hazards and produces a finish that looks great with plenty of “feel appeal”. The best commercially available product by far is Osmo High Solid Polyx Oil. I always suggest using the satin clear version (code 3032). This is used by many leading bespoke furniture makers.
Loose Covers
A loose cover is a fitted protective cover that may be slipped off and on a piece of upholstered furniture. Loose covers may be removed for seasonal change, cleaning, moving, or storage. Slipcovers are sometimes defined as "clothing for furniture." Indeed, they are tailored just as clothing is, and are fitted loosely or snugly to the taste of the owner.

Mid century furniture is our passion, we are able to restore the pieces to their original glory by new upholstery and sanding and restoring the wood with natural oils.
